Numerology is considered as one of the earliest forms of metaphysical reading and communication. In early days people used numbers, markings and scribing methods to intercommunicate, trade and exchange their ideas. Dating back to 4,004 BC – Egypt and Babylon are recognised as recording the earliest history of numerology. There is evidence of numerology thousands of years ago in India, China, Italy, Greece and Japan.

There are different systems of numerology such as Pythagorean and Chaldean. My preference is Pythagoras however I believe all methods have a place.

Philosopher Pythagoras was born in Greece around 590 BC and was one of the best in his day. He was an important figure in the development of mathematics. When Pythagoras was around 50 years old he established a school that was sort of a secret society in Cortona, Italy. The society was called the semi-circle and there he taught Mathematics, Astronomy and Music, which was open to both men and women.

Pythagoras felt the entire universe could be expressed through numbers and created a system, which was expanded by other Greek philosophers. Although Pythagoras did not invent numerology his theories took it to a new level, which is why he is often credited with being the father of numerology. Pythagoras lived to be around a hundred years old. He died when his school was attacked and burned to the ground – most of his teachings were written after his death.

A big gap exists between the years of Pythagoras and the early 1900’s when a few mystic authors started writing about the art of interpreting numbers. When Dr. Julia Stenton (born 1862) added her awareness to the art, she is credited with naming the interpretive practice “numerology.” Its popularity did not return until L. Dow Balliett published a book series on the art of reading numbers between 1911 and 1917. In the 1930’s Florence Campbell, another mystic, added to the writings on numerology.

As we are entering the era of the 2’s from the year 2000 knowledge, acceptance and intuition is being increased. The 2 is a peaceful number and on the positive side represents love, harmony, partnerships and intuition. 0 in numerology is also a metaphysical intuitive number, which is why acceptance is growing particularly with the number of magazines, television and radio shows in this area. Interestingly America’s first black president Barrack Obama, born 4 Aug 1961 has a life path number master vibration of 11/2, he is here to help bring peace to the world and his presidency came about in the 2000’s.

While many people dismiss numerology as a pseudo-science, it was taught and studied by some of the most respected mathematicians throughout history.

Have you ever met an astrotwin? How much alike were you? Were there eerie parallels between your lives or were you radically different? Strictly speaking, astrotwins are two people born the same day, month, year, time, and place-and thus with charts that are identical in every way. While it’s rare to meet an exact astrotwin, we often encounter people who are “date twins,” born the same day, month, and year, but at a different time or place.

George W. Bush and Sylvester Stallone are date twins (July 6, 1947), and so were Lincoln and Darwin (February 12, 1809). One unlikely pair is Margaret Thatcher and Lenny Bruce, both born October 13, 1925. Some other pairs my friend Karen McCauley found are Andy Griffith and Marilyn Monroe, Angela Bassett and Madonna, Newt Gingrich and Barry Manilow, Roger Ebert and Paul McCartney, Al Gore and Rhea Perlman.

In my astrology practice, I once had a client who was born the same day, month, year, and one hour earlier than Charles Manson (November 12, 1934). Manson is a notorious criminal serving a life sentence, and my client was the apparent opposite-he counseled sex offenders who were incarcerated.

Skeptics use these examples to discredit astrology, and it puzzles those who want to believe as well. They’d speculate on my client’s “shadow self,” that perhaps he was sublimating his own violence by working in a prison. And it’s possible that Margaret Thatcher, despite her very proper public façade, was as raunchy as Lenny Bruce in private. Maybe so -surely the same gifts and predilections can be expressed in a variety of ways.

The birth counter at www.Worldometers.info says that there have been 103,000 births around the world already and it’s only 7:00 AM. No, wait-it’s now 7:10 and there are almost 106,000. Each day there are some 350,000 date twins born, and among them, depending on the time and place of birth, hundreds of astrotwins. They will all have the same core elements in their chart, but obviously their life stories and opportunities to develop their potentials will diverge wildly.

So, where does astrology come into play? How do we explain why there are several hundred people out there with essentially the same birth chart as Barak Obama, but only one of them is running for president? The analogy I came up with is that the birth chart is a portrait of the soul, but it’s NOT the soul. It is only one expression of the soul’s infinite potentials. Only one of those souls is Barak Obama.

That’s why I say that the astrology chart is a portrait of the soul. Have you ever visited an art class where the students were trying to do a picture of nude? As you wander through the room, each student has rendered the subject in a different way-anything from strictly representational to highly abstract. The colors, the techniques, the styles come in infinite varieties. They have attempted to capture the image, but they can’t capture the essence.

It’s the same with a particular astrology chart. Each person born with it attempts to express its potentials, but does so in their own way and with varying degrees of success, depending on the materials at hand. If you’ve got clay, you make a bust. If you have pastel chalk, that’s what you use. And if you’ve got oils, you’ve got a better shot at appearing in an art gallery-IF you work hard and apply yourself for years and years.

Howard Robard Hughes Jr., born 24 December 1905, was a true American original. A record-setting aviator, movie producer and director, engineer, industrialist, philanthropist and legendary womanizer, Howard Hughes was, for all his amazing accomplishments, arguably the most eccentric, deranged and reclusive man in recent history.

Throughout this series of rich and famous icons, the master number that stands out the most and which reflects a dynamic sense of originality and independence is the master 55-1 energy. No number is more free and driven to be unique and accomplished than the Double Nickels Master.

Allegedly, he had affairs with such famous women as Katharine Hepburn, Ava Gardner, Bette Davis, Ginger Rogers and others. And what are the numbers of love and romance? The most powerful are the 33-6 and 66-3. Hughes not only had a quintset (five) of 33-6 energy but a triset of 66-3. The 33-6s were in his first name of “Howard” and in the PE positions of the four “Rs” in his full name. The 66-3s are revealed in the PE of “Howard” and PEs in the two “Os” of “Howard” and “Robard.”

Together, this quintstack of 33-6 energy and triset of 66-3 energy combined to generate a potent recipe of love and romance.

Eccentricity and Reclusion

One of the most fascinating aspects of Hughes’ life was his eccentricity and reclusion. In corroboration, he described himself as paranoid and deranged. What numbers reveal this aspect of his life?

Linkage is the continuous occurrence of the same number, numbers or number patterns in a numerology chart. Life Linkage is when the same patterns begin at birth and continue to death. Hughes’ Life Matrix reveals a 9/7 life linkage IR set (Influence/Reality) in his 1st Pinnacle, 2nd Pinnacle, 3rd Pinnacle, 3rd Challenge and 4th Challenge! This 9/7 pattern indicates internal turmoil, mental issues, potential chaos, shyness and reclusion (7) which is universally known and long term (9). Because the linkage is life-long, the 9/7 energies continue to grow unabatedly, potentially becoming larger and, in his case, more severe. For a long time I had on my website detailed descriptions of the compatibilities between the twelve star signs. I even gave them star ratings. The relationship between Aquarius and Cancer got one star, between Aries and Capricorn three stars and between Virgo and Capricorn five.

Looking at the traffic to my website, it was clear that most of my visitors wanted to know about their love life, and in particular their compatibility with their real or hoped-for partners. While I was grateful for this traffic, it seemed out of balance and didn’t reflect what I wanted to concentrate on. I therefore changed the website, and took down all the pages about star signs and compatibility.

That doesn’t mean to say that I am not interested in star signs and romance. Far from it. In the mid-1990s I co-authored a book called Sex, Stars and Seduction, which I am afraid is long out of print. The book was packed with information about the interaction between the twelve signs, and I really do believe that as far as astrology and love are concerned, I know what I’m talking about.

Nonetheless it’s important to get stars signs in perspective. Prior to the Twentieth Century astrologers didn’t categorise people according to their star signs and they certainly didn’t use them to assess romantic compatibility.

However just because a technique has little or no tradition doesn’t mean that it’s irrelevant. By comparing the star signs of two people you can get valuable information about the nature of their relationship. You should realise, though, that star sign compatibility is unlikely to give you an indication of whether or not a relationship will work.

As for the basis of star sign compatibility, it’s all about angles. The twelve signs of the Zodiac are at different angles to each other, and some angles are easier than others. These angles increase by thirty degrees, because the circle of the Zodiac has 360 degrees, and 360 divided by 12 is 30. So we have the sequence 0, 30, 60, 90, 120, 150 and 180.

The sign pairs are as follows:

0 degrees: Aries-Aries, Taurus-Taurus, Gemini-Gemini, Cancer-Cancer, Leo-Leo, Virgo-Virgo, Libra-Libra, Scorpio-Scorpio, Sagittarius-Sagittarius, Capricorn-Capricorn, Aquarius-Aquarius, Pisces-Pisces.

30 degrees: Aries-Pisces, Aries-Taurus, Taurus-Gemini, Gemini-Cancer, Cancer-Leo, Leo-Virgo, Virgo-Libra, Libra-Scorpio, Scorpio-Sagittarius, Sagittarius-Capricorn, Capricorn-Aquarius, Aquarius-Pisces.

60 degrees: Aries-Aquarius, Aries-Gemini, Taurus-Pisces, Taurus-Cancer, Gemini-Leo, Cancer-Virgo, Leo-Libra, Virgo-Scorpio, Libra-Sagittarius, Scorpio-Capricorn, Sagittarius-Aquarius, Capricorn-Pisces.

90 degrees: Aries-Capricorn, Aries-Cancer, Taurus-Aquarius, Taurus-Leo, Gemini-Pisces, Gemini-Virgo, Cancer-Libra, Leo-Scorpio, Virgo-Sagittarius, Libra-Capricorn, Scorpio-Aquarius, Sagittarius-Pisces.

120 degrees: Aries-Sagittarius, Aries-Leo, Taurus-Capricorn, Taurus-Virgo, Gemini-Aquarius, Gemini-Libra, Cancer-Pisces, Cancer-Scorpio, Leo-Sagittarius, Virgo-Capricorn, Libra-Aquarius, Scorpio-Pisces.

150 degrees: Aries-Virgo, Aries-Scorpio, Taurus-Libra, Taurus-Sagittarius, Gemini-Scorpio, Gemini-Capricorn, Cancer-Sagittarius, Cancer-Aquarius, Leo-Capricorn, Leo-Pisces, Virgo-Aquarius.

180 degrees: Aries-Libra, Taurus-Scorpio, Gemini-Sagittarius, Cancer-Capricorn, Leo-Aquarius, Virgo-Pisces.

The starting angle is zero degrees. In other words where two signs are the same. For example a relationship between two Taureans, or two Geminis. Astrologers generally regard this as being fortunate. Two people with the same star sign will often have a similar approach to life, and the mutual chemistry can be quite compelling.

Yet it’s possible that the strong compatibility is too much of a good thing. The couple could get in each other’s way, and start cramping each other’s style. Also, if it’s a heterosexual relationship, the woman may be attracted to the man because he reminds her of her father. This mightn’t always be healthy.

The next angle is 30 degrees, and this describes two signs that are next to each other. Like Aries and Taurus, or Leo and Virgo. On the face of it two signs that are next to each other won’t get on very well, because these signs will always be very different from one another. In practice 30 degree relationships often work well, and this might have something to do with the fact that the planets Mercury and Venus are never too far from the Sun.

So a lot of people with the Sun in Leo will have Mercury or Venus, or both, in the following sign of Virgo. As a result many Leos can form excellent relationships with Virgoans.

Probably the best angle is 60 degrees, where the signs are two apart. For example Aries-Gemini, or Virgo-Scorpio. There’s a general sympathy between the two signs, but they’re sufficiently different not to step on each other’s toes. So if you’re looking for a long-term relationship, with minimal aggravation, this might be the combination to go for.

Signs which are 90 degreesapart are often powerfully attracted to each other, even though their differences tend to outweigh their similarities. There might be passion, but there could also be plenty of arguments.

An example of a 90 degree relationship is that between Bill and Hillary Clinton. He’s a Leo, she’s a Scorpio.

Relationships between signs that are 120 degrees apart can be very harmonious. Things run smoothly, and there’s a natural understanding between the two parties. It’s because signs that are 120 degrees from each other have the same element. So Taurus and Capricorn are both Earth signs, Libra and Aquarius both Air signs.

When signs are 150 degrees apart they have nothing in common, all things being equal, and it’s probably a combination to avoid. Though it doesn’t seem to bother Barack and Michelle Obama, who are respectively a Leo and a Capricorn.

The most interesting pairs are those that are 180 degrees apart. The two signs are on opposite sides of the Zodiac, and there can be a compulsive chemistry.

However just because two people are attracted to each other doesn’t mean that they should have a relationship. The 180 degree combination can be stormy and even self-destructive.

Criminal duo Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow – better known as Bonnie and Clyde – had their star signs 180 degrees from each other. Bonnie Parker was a Libra, Clyde Barrow an Aries. Their relationship was dynamic and exciting, but it ended in a hail of bullets.

Of course that’s an extreme example. 180 degree relationships don’t have to end badly, but there’s a fundamental tension, that could have explosive results.

I’ve now covered the underlying structure of star sign compatibility. It’s clear that the star sign approach to relationships is very general, and it’s hampered by the fact that it doesn’t take into account other factors in the horoscope, for example the Moon, Venus and Mars.

Given these circumstances, you should avoid getting either excited or disappointed by star sign compatibility. If you’re an Aries, and you’re crazy about someone who is also an Aries, don’t think that just because you’ve got the same star signs you can have a happy relationship with them. On the other hand if you’re a Leo, and you’ve just discovered that the man or woman of your dreams is a Pisces, don’t cry yourself to sleep in despair!

Instead regard star sign compatibility as a way of giving yourself some extra information. It can provide insights into the strengths and weaknesses of a particular relationship, and it can give you guidance about the best way of interacting with your partner.

And given the general nature of this kind of astrology, I would strongly recommend that you don’t accept or reject someone just because they’ve got the ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ star sign.

The book of Bhrigu, or the Bhrigu Samhita is a real book, written several thousands of years ago, during an age the Hindus call the Vedic Period.

This is when the Vedas, of their Holy Books were being written. Maharshi Bhrigu (Maharshi meaning Great Rishi, or Saint) compiled the horoscopes of all the people who would consult the book, for all time. Hard to believe? Read on.

Maharshi Bhrigu is believed to be the first person to record horoscopes that predicted a person’s future.

However, as Hinduism and most Eastern thought embraces the principle of reincarnation, the Saint’s astrology covered a person’s past, present and future existences. It is said the Maharshi recorded some 500,000 horoscopes, and life histories with the help of Sri Lord Ganesha. The 500,000 horoscopes resulted in about 45,000,000 permutations, and this is what is in the book today.

The Claims of the Book of Bhrigu

o The horoscope of anyone destined to find the real Book of Bhrigu is already within it.

These unscrupulous people have made unreal copies of what appears to be a real Book of Bhrigu, but are only fakes. Usually peddled to foreigners, and diaspora Indians (who cannot read and write Sanskrit) great sums of money are often extorted in schemes to reveal but fantasies from the swindler’s mind.

A real book of Bhrigu will be held in a shrine, entrusted to a high Bhramin family, whose head is the resident priest…or else in an ashram. No real money will be asked from you to do a reading, although you may make a small contribution to the Priest’s family.

Your name (a Sanskrit transliteration) will be in the book. So if you are lucky enough to locate a real book of Bhrigu, you should take along a trusted person who can read and write Sanskrit (to validate the priest’s claims).

A fraud will ask you to return, ask for money in increasing amounts, and suggest solutions to your life that are too easy to believe (pay for your sins). Before you go, make sure that you have enough information that the place and person you visit are real.

As a guide, you should know that the original Book of Bhrigu will contain the horoscope of any individual you has been destined to consult it, and it will predict the past, present and future, revealing also clearly the consulting day, time and date of the individual along with the remedial measures needed to correct his or her life.
